Get SMART! Workshop Dates Announced for Texas Educators, Employers

The SMART Center in partnership with San Jacinto College is holding two "Get SMART!" Impact Workshops for secondary educators and maritime and transportation industry leaders.
Meet the Experts, Engage Educators and Get Key Takeaways
We've distilled our nationally-respected annual SMART Summer Maritime and Transportation Institute format into a 2.5-day "Get SMART!" Impact Workshop for educators and industry leaders. The new 2.5-day "Get SMART!" Impact Workshops provide participants with core concepts and materials needed to develop or expand academic courses and pathways that will enable students to enter the maritime and transportation industry which is critical to our nation's economy and security. Participants will also receive SMART products including lessons, toolkits, "Make the SMART Choice!" video series and the new SMART Maritime and Transportation Career Guide & Resource Handbook. Lastly, you will meet key industry players in your region to help support your programs and learn about registered apprenticeship programs, internships and college programs for students in your area.

Secondary STEM and CTE educators, college faculty, guidance counselors, career coaches, and secondary and college-level administrators as well as maritime and transportation industry employees who would benefit from interacting directly with local educators for workforce development.
